Go Mustangs!

I'm excited that tonight is Alex's first football game this season! It's a bit of a story, but he when the season started, he was helping with equipment and the team, but not playing (a long story). But anyway, this past week he's been back to regular practice, and tonight is his first game back. I'm really glad he's playing (and I think he is too).

So anyway, I decided to make him this little treat for after the game. I know he likes these Cookies and Cream Hershey's drops (and so do I), so that's why I'm giving them to him (so I don't eat them all!!).

And here's the topper I made - I KNOW he'll really appreciate the work I put into it! That's ok though, cause I like it! This is the Varsity Alphabet Letter set (and the football is the Touchdown set). I LOVE this set for high school and college team stuff - so cool! And I'm lovin' the Silver Shimmer - it's just the right bling, even for a 'boy' card or project!

Happy Friday, and Thanks for stopping by,

Fun Halloween Ideas!

For a fun gift to make someone go eeek! on Halloween, share this trio of projects with that person in your life who loves Halloween and creepy crawly things! The candy pouch makes a quick gift to give to someone to say, hope your Halloween is sweet! The mini scallop square box opens up to reveal a little surprise that pops out.Finish off with this fun and playful spider card with a greeting inside that says Happy Halloween. These make great little gifts for a Halloween treat, but they would also be fun for other holidays and events with just a change of some paper and images.

This fun and frightful project comes to you designed by Heidi! And you can get more details about her projects if you go check out Craft Project Central.

Fun Party Favors!

These were little party favors that I put together for Jessie's birthday dinner last Saturday. We had a day of wine tasting - just three wineries, and a nice lunch at one of them. Then we had dinner at our favorite restaurant in Cambria that night.

So I had made these little 'favors' to put out at everyone's place setting at the dinner table. The wine glasses are little miniatures from Pier One. They hold about 1/2 cup of M&M's. I thought they were perfect for the occasion! I made the little tags to hang from them with circle punches and the 'let's celebrate' from the On Your Birthday set.

And then I special ordered the M&M's online - they have her picture on some and "Jessie is 21!" on the others. I think they turned out super cute!

Jessie's Big Day!

Today is my daughter's 21st birthday! Where the time goes?? I won't see her until tomorrow but this is the card I made for her. It goes with the colors of the other things I've put together for her little celebration we're having tomorrow.

I had originally made this little pinwheel to use for a different thing, maybe a table decoration. And since I didn't end up using it for that, I decided to put it on the card. Kind of bulky for a card, but it's cute and fun. - And definitely not going in the mail!

And I like how this saying makes the card front look like it's really saying "21" Birthday Wishes - You know, Kind of?

Anyway, hopefully she'll be too busy today to check out this post and she'll be surprised to see it tomorrow when I see her! And, if not - 'Surprise, Jessie!'

Banner for a Big Day!

I've been working on this banner for my daughter's 21st birthday! Wow, hard to believe that she will be 21 - Time flies!! We're planning a little family get-away this weekend to celebrate. So I decided to put together a few favors and things.

Our Perfect Pennants Die makes it pretty easy to make a cool banner. I chose Wisteria Wonder, Baja Breeze and Island Indigo to create with. And then I just had some fun layering lots of 'stuff'!!

This little Pennant with the 21st is my favorite part! I put a little ribbon frosting around a Wide Oval punch to set off the 21st. And I added a few Rhinestone blings, and my new favorite, Silver Shimmer paper!

Here's the Jessie part! I can't wait to hang it on our Slate fireplace - I think it's going to look really cool there! (At least it will be better than the carpet it's lying on right now!!)

I'll show you more of the stuff I'm doing later - you never know who might be looking and I want to leave a few fun surprises!

Gettin' in the Halloween Mood!

I think at this time last year I had all my Halloween decorations out and was all ready for Halloween by the middle of September! Crazy, I think, but I really like Halloween. So far this year, I've bought Halloween candy - and eaten lots of it already, but nothing decorated yet! Not like I'm behind, I think last year I was a little early - but I'm feeling the Halloween mood today!!

So I found a challenge, over at Stamping 411. And I decided to make it Halloween!

Here's the Sketch Challenge I followed from Stamping 411.

And here's a close-up of the fun stuff on my card! I used two Halloween sets, House of Haunts (for the pumpkin), and Dark and Dreary (for the Happy Halloween). And I kept everything Peach Parfait, Pumpkin Pie and Concord Crush!
