'Sweet' 13 Birthday!

Here's a card I made for a friend who needed a birthday card for a thirteen year old. If you've been on my blog, it might seem familiar to you! I made the original of this card for my daughter's twenty-first birthday last year.

So for this re-make, I changed up the colors. I really like these colors! The Blushing Bride is a soft and soothing pink, and I love it with my fav, Crumb Cake, and Soft Suede.

Here's a closer look at the pinwheel. - It's made with a 2 1/2" square of Blushing Bride Designer Paper. I love how the Silver Glimmer Paper and the Rhinestone jewels give the pinwheel that extra sparkle!!

And, if you were wondering, the stick is just a skewer that is cut down. They're from Target in a packet of 100 for $2 - you buy them once and never run out!!

Have a great Sunday!

Mr. Snowman Box & Snowflake Card

Whether you’re ready for the holidays or not, a special thank you gift and card are always in season, and great to have on hand. This Mr. Snowman Treat Box and Snowflake Card would be a great way to thank someone this holiday season for all they do for you! And, after the treats are long gone, your Mr. Snowman will still stand smiling as a nice addition to their Winter Decor!

This is the project and card that I made for Craft Project Central this month! You can see it over there and get the tutorial to make him by subscribing to this month.

Gettin' in the Halloween Mood!

I think at this time last year I had all my Halloween decorations out and was all ready for Halloween by the middle of September! Crazy, I think, but I really like Halloween. So far this year, I've bought Halloween candy - and eaten lots of it already, but nothing decorated yet! Not like I'm behind, I think last year I was a little early - but I'm feeling the Halloween mood today!!

So I found a challenge, over at Stamping 411. And I decided to make it Halloween!

Here's the Sketch Challenge I followed from Stamping 411.

And here's a close-up of the fun stuff on my card! I used two Halloween sets, House of Haunts (for the pumpkin), and Dark and Dreary (for the Happy Halloween). And I kept everything Peach Parfait, Pumpkin Pie and Concord Crush!
