Creation Station - Celebrating the Season!

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin'! Our theme this month is Celebrate the Season. And I'm excited to share a couple simple, but stunning ideas that you can make super quickly for the holidays. This ornament takes about 5 minutes from prepping everything to hanging it on the tree! And the card is a pretty close to 5 minutes too (maybe 6 minutes ;) ).

Since my first look at the Holiday Catalog, I was in love with the Dashing Deer set - so I decided to use that for my card! I used the Silver Foil Edged Cards (so nice that these are all prepped and have a coordinating envelope too - fold it in half). Then I glued a 3 3/4" x 5" piece of Dashing Along Designer Series Paper. to leave just the silver edge showing. I added the saying on a Stitched Circle. Tied around the Cherry Cobbler Cotton Twine, and then Silver Foil flowers with Rhinestone Jewel centers, and of course a Silver Foil "Rudolph", with a Cherry Cobbler colored Rhinestone Jewel nose (I used the Stampin' Blends for that)!

This card came together so quickly - and I love it's simplicity, but elegance!

I got these clear ornament balls from Michael's Craft Store - they were a bargain at 25 of them for $20, but I got them on sale for $8!!

Then I filled one with twelve 1/2" x 6" strips of Dashing Along Designer Series Paper strips. I just rolled them into ringlets using a skewer stick - so quick and easy! I pushed all of those through the top of the open ornament, and added three 1/4" x 6" Silver Glimmer Paper, rolled up the same way. Add the ribbon around the top and a piece of the Cherry Cobbler Cotton Twine for a 'hanger' - and wah lah!!

I Love how this could easily be adapted with any set of papers, or another stamp set too. It's always nice to have something quick to make when you need it!

I hope you enjoyed your stop by, and I can't wait to see what's next! Click on the link below to see what the fabulous Sara Nell-Langland has created ~

Back from Stampin' Up!'s OnStage!

I'm back! Back from Orlando, where we were celebrating Stampin' Up!'s 30th!! What a great time it was!

The trip started with my Stampin' Besties, Kaylene and Liz! And not only were we celebrating Stampin' Up!'s 30th, but we were also celebrating Kaylene's 60th!

We spent the day and evening at Epcot!! We rode a couple rides and enjoyed the Food and Wine event!

We had a great dinner at the Italian restaurant in Epcot too! They even sang Happy Birthday to Kaylene!

Then Liz and I were off to the CentreStage celebration! It was a night of desserts and karaoke - lots of fun!

They fired up some donuts in Cinnamon Fireball ๐Ÿ˜ณ- And dropped in some vanilla ice cream and cherries - Wowzsa!! And not like we needed another dessert -

But it was good!๐Ÿ˜œAnd they ended the evening with Fireworks (but I didn't get any pics) - what a day!!

I hope you'll stop by tomorrow, I'll be showing some of the swaps I made and received!

Creation Station Hop - In All Things Give Thanks!

Howdy, and Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin' - We are 'Giving Thanks' this month with Creation Station! So my take on the theme this month was Thanksgiving in the U.S. - but I decided to go a little alternative with my colors! I Love, Love, Love the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Papers - so I decided to create around them. - Plaids are SO in right now!!

I made a coordinating card and little Hershey Nugget Treat Holder! And I used the Country Home stamp set because I Love the sayings (well, I do like just about all of it really).

For the card, I layered the plaid and it's backside on the Early Espresso card base. Then I tied the Mossy Meadow Cotton Twine around (love the softness to that twine!). And for for the focal point, I used the cotton bouquet from the Country Home set, but I didn't want to use a pail or pitcher for the base, so I added the saying below it! - And I did use Early Espresso ink for the stamping, even with Stampin' Blends coloring. I was just careful not to color to heavily! To my surprise, it worked great!

So for the Treat Holder - I used a fun little template I found from The Paper Pixie (from about a year ago)! She's awesome at little treat holders - Click HERE for the You Tube video on how she made this. My favorite thing about it is that you can make the holder (super easy, using the Envelope Punch Board) and cover three Hershey Nuggets - ALL with a 6" x 6" piece of Designer Series Paper!

I hope you enjoyed your stop by, and thanks for hopping with us - and up next is the fun and fabulous Dena Rekow! Click on the link below to hop on over there!

Cute Clipped Treat Holder for Class this Week!

This is the little Clipped Treat Holder we'll be making at stamp classes this week! I Love the Festive Farmhouse Designer Series Papers - all the plaids are soo purty!

I had a larger template for this little treat holder, and then revamped it so it would fit two Ferrero Rocher candies - yum! And I added the little sentiment from the Takeout Treats stamp set. And the little sprigs are from the Sprig Punch, from the Holiday Catalog also. They add that 'just a little somethin more' that it needed! And with the library clip on top it really doesn't need adhesive to keep the outside cover attached to the little inside box!

I hope to see you at class this week,

Creation Station Hop - Layers of Leaves!

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin! If you're just starting the hop, or hopping here from Andrea's blog, Welcome! This month we're Layering Leaves - Happy Fall here in the United States! So I got the Falling for Leaves Bundle, and I Love it! The stamp set is so pretty - I love all the details of the largest leaf. And the thinlits are equally as pretty!

This isn't my usual kind of card - but I got started with the stamped leaf and had so much fun coloring it in with the Stampin' Blends. I used Mango Melody, light and dark, Pumpkin Pie, light and dark, and a little bit of light Cajun Craze. That leaf became my focal point. And then I just added stuff around it that seemed to go...

My favorite background is Crumb Cake - so I went there! And I used the edgelit dies from the Detailed Leaves Framelits to create the Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake layered edges. Then it seemed that a black layer was needed - so that happened ;) And after the Basic Black Cardstock accent, the Black Cord and stamped "thankful" seemed to be best stamped in black also!

Again, I really love this stamped leaf - and the Stampin' Blends just make it so beautiful! The leaves in the background add that little bit of somethin' it needs to set it off. But, just a Wow stamp set and thinlits combo, huh?!

I hope you enjoyed your stop by here - and you're in store for some super awesomeness on your next stop with Elizabeth Price!

Thanks for stopping by,

Tranquil Textures 'Crumb Cake' DSP - 4" x 5 1/4"
Night of Navy Cardstock - 4 1/4" x 6 1/2" - score at 3 1/4" and fold in half
Tranquil Textures DSP for card front - 3" x 4" and 1" x 4"
Tranquil Textures DSP for inside - 3" x 6" - score at 2" and adhere edges
Whisper White Cardstock - 3" x 4"

Takeout Treat Box for Classes this Week!!

We are making this super sweet little Takeout Treat Box in stamp classes this week! It's a cute little size, about 2" high. It fits just a few little treats, and it's so cute and perfect not only for Halloween, but lots of other occasions! The coordinating set has a few any everyday sayings and a Valentine one too!

And my favorite part of making the box is that you need just a half sheet of cardstock - super great for making multiples!

I hope you'll be at one of my stamp classes this week,

Creation Station Hop - Power of the Punch!

Welcome to Just Julie B's! I'm so excited to share with you my card creation for this month's blog hop - Power of the Punch! I'm using a punch that will be available to purchase from the new Holiday Catalog that starts on September 5th. I just LOVE Halloween - so I knew I had to share this new Spooky Bats Punch!

It may be hard to see in the picture, but the bats were punched from Basic Black Cardstock that was spritzed with a Frost White Shimmer Paint mixture. I put about 7 drops of the paint into a Stampin' Spritzer, and then filled the rest with 91% rubbing alcohol. After shaking it up, you just spray onto the cardstock and let dry a few minutes. - then tah dah, Shimmery Bats!!

The 'moon' is also an easy punched trick! I punched a 2-1/4" Circle from Mango Melody and then sponged it with some Pumpkin Pie - a perfect and easy moon. I took a slice off of it just for a different look.

Another fun accent to the card are the Basic Jewel Rhinestones - that are colored to match! I used the Stampin' Blends coordinating marker to color over them before adhering them - Bootiful in Blackberry Bliss! ;)

I hope you enjoyed this quick stop by, and I can't wait to see what Dena has in store for us next...

Creation Station Hop - Artistic Expression!

Welcome to Just Julie B - and to our 'Artistic Expression' for the month of August! We focused on stamps and accessories from the Annual catalog in the section from pages 127 - 179 (Artistic Expression). There are so many awesome things, and I decided to stamp and use products from the Rooted in Nature set, coordinating paper and framelits! I made a card with a coordinating gift box.

The card is a Petal Pink base, with a layer of Petal Pink embossed with the Subtle Textured Impressions Embossing Folder (easier to see in a later picture).

On that layer I added a 1 3/4" strip of Nature's Poem DSP layered with Blackberry Bliss and Silver Foil. Love the Silver Foil - it adds a bit of bling!! I die cut and embossed both of the leaves from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock and added them over a Blackberry Bliss stamped vellum piece (the Blackberry Classic Ink stamped on vellum takes on it's own lighter/brownish hue).

But I LOVE the silver/bling coordination of the Silver Foil, Petal Pink & Silver Baker's Twine and the Clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels. - Just that little bit of extra sparkle/bling it needed!

And here's a little tip for adhering the stamped vellum piece - use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals, or whatever adhesive you need - but under where you will have a layer (I put the Blackberry Bliss leaves on top of those areas)!!

And here's a sweet and simple lidded box. I used a 6" x 6" Blackberry Bliss cardstock base for the box, and a 4 1/16" square Petal Pink base for the lid. I added a piece of DSP for the top and tied coordinating Baker's twine around and in a bow on the top - with a simple 'leaf' tag!

Of course, some Rhinestone Jewels help to coordinate it with the card!

I hope you enjoyed your stop here - and you'll be WOWed to hop on over and see what the fabulous Elizabeth Price has created this month!
