Flourishing Card Box Set!

This card box set is perfect for any card-loving person out there! The card box has a magnetic closure, and can hold six cards along with six envelopes. This tutorial also includes two card designs. Just make three of each design, and the box will be filled. This card box set features the Flourishing Phrases Bundle and Blooms & Bliss Designer Series Paper. The cards can easily be customized with any of the many greetings in the Flourishing Phrases Stamp Set. This would make a great product-based card class, too.

This pretty project was made by Christy Fulk and you can get her tutorial when you subscribe to the month of July over at Craft Project Central.

Thanks for stopping by,

Creation Station Blog Hop!

Welcome to the Creation Station blog hop for July! Our theme this month is Gifts from the Garden - and there are so many awesome new sets that fit this theme! One of my favorite new bundles is the Flourishing Phrases stamp set and coordinating Flourish Thinlits.

So this is the first card I've created with this new bundle of goodies! I Love that the large flower-vine thinlit is such a perfectly pretty focal point to fill a card front. It can really stand alone, but has so much potential for other ideas... I started by adhering it to a Soft Sky watercolored background. But, of course, I added a few more details to it!

It was simple to just run the thinlit through the Big Shot one extra time, using two small scraps of Calypso Coral Cardstock. That created the two extra flowers that I just glued on top of the original Old Olive piece.

And another easy, but quick sparkle I added was using the Wink of Stella Gold pen to the little 'buds' of the die cut. They sparkle even more in person! With that touch of gold, I decided to add the Gold Foil detail along the edge to tie the look of the card together.

And in keeping with the color scheme, I added the saying onto a Soft Sky banner, with a Calypso Coral bow! One other detail that I like about the die cut is that it's not completely glued onto the card front. There are spots that I just left without adhesive so that it gives some dimension. - Kind of a nice touch!

I hope you enjoyed my card!
