Da Da Da Da Da Da Da Da... Batman!!

So a couple weeks ago my daughter needed a card for her boyfriend's nephew - and it was a Batman themed party. I found the idea for the card on Pinterest, and I was actually thankful for once to have saved some retired Stampin' Up! stuff! (I have so much retired stuff that I no longer use...)

My favorite part of the card was the 'brick' background. I used the Simply Scored, and very carefully patterned it out!

And the coolest thing... I love that the card came together just perfectly with how the gifts were wrapped!

Thanks for stopping by,

Witches Brew BOO for a Challenge!

I finally decided to join the Card Challenge over at Craft Project Central! It's been a while since I've participated in a card challenge - and I realized it's pretty fun!! I like that I just have to choose the details I like, then I just put it into the given format! I really have to do this more often!

So here's the sketch they gave. And you can even get the details on the measurements and all that good stuff by clicking HERE. And, of course, I couldn't be exact with all that they did, but I like my little modifications!

And here's a little close-up of some the fun parts I added! I used the Big Shot to die cut the letters from the Typeset Alphabet Bigz set with Basic Black card stock. Then I used the 2-Way Glue pen with the Black Stampin' Glitter onto the letters - love the SPARKLE!! And the cool little 'spiral-y' black thing is just a scrap of Basic Black card stock that I twirled until it looked cool and Glue-Dotted it on! - I think it makes a fun little accent!

Hope you like it - and hope you go over and join the Challenge too!

Simple 18 Flip Flop Card! - And I Did it Again!

I made this card for my son's 18th birthday last week. I kept it pretty simple because as he's told me, "All that matters is that it has a little pocket to put some cash in it. It doesn't need anything else." (So, I actually did make a little pocket on the backside of it for the cash! But I didn't take a picture of it!)

But I did want to use the new Thinlits Circle Card for the Big Shot! And it was super easy! I also figured that even if it was going to be a simple card, it had to have '18' on it for this special birthday.

And, once for the saying I wanted to use, it wouldn't fit. So, like I did with THIS CARD, I cut my saying in half - and then mounted it on the clear block. It made for a perfect fit onto the narrow space on the card. This saying came from the Four You stamp set.

And, once again, because the stamps are clear mounted, it makes it super easy to fit the words back together if I wanted to use them in their original orientation.

Have you done this with any of your clear mount stamps yet?
