Ornament for a Card/Tag Challenge!

I hope you had a very Merry Christmas! I guess I did, because I had great intentions of making this tag as a Christmas tag or ornament a week or so ago. And then I got carried away with all the prepping and planning for Christmas. So today, being the day after Christmas, I decided to have a jump start for Valentine's Day! :)

And here's the sketch that I used from over at Craft Project Central. Like I said, it was made for Christmas, but it was fun to adapt it for a Valentine's tag too. And even better than just an ornament or tag, it makes a great wine bottle gift tag!

It's not too late for you to go over to Craft Project Central and join the Sketch Challenge! Check it out HERE!

Snow Day Party!

Unless you live near the equator – or Florida – you’re going to have snow in the winter.  It’s inevitable, so you might as well enjoy it and have a party!  Here are some fun – and “out of the box” - ways to use the Gift Box Punch Board and All Is Calm suite from the 2014 Stampin’ Up! Holiday catalog to make party favor boxes and a basket of snow party refreshments.  Add a fun invitation and a sparkly snow banner using the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit, and you’ll have the best party ever.  If you live in an area that doesn’t get much snow, or your party is in the spring or summer, it’s easy to switch it to a “no snow” or beach party just by changing the designer series paper and colors.

Monthly Memories Album!

Let’s face it . . . not every stamper is a scrapbooker, but we all have dates, events, activities, milestones, etc. that we’d like to record and remember.  This Monthly Memories Album, which can stand on its own, is comprised of pockets—one for each month—with at least one card in each pocket to record (with journaling and/or photos) special events.  Of course, photos and mementos can be included or attached to the front (and/or back) of each pocket.  The whole family can be involved recording a memory about something special for each month!  The handy gift bag features a really neat way to make sure the card doesn’t get lost or separated from the gift and, of course, there’s a gift box for the album!  This is an especially perfect gift for a New Year’s party hostess, or host your own party and give this ensemble to each of your guests!

Thinking of You for a Challenge!

So I set out to make a card for the Sketch Challenge over Craft Project Central. I decided to use up some of my "Halloween" papers just because I hate when I have all these left over papers around that I never use. But the prints that I chose aren't very Halloween-like, so it's all good!

Anyway, I sorta changed up the Sketch as I got into making the card. But you can see here what I was looking at to get started!

A Little Monster for a Challenge!

Theses little Motley Monsters have become so addicting for Halloween cards and projects!! At first I told myself I'd just buy the papers and I could cut out the images (which is what I did here!), but then I eventually ordered the stamps too! Then I had to have the coordinating word set, Ghoulish Greetings - they are so perfect too!

And so for this card, I decided to use the cute little monster, and I was thinking of my little niece for Halloween - so that's why 'he' got a little bow on the head - to make him a 'her'!! And 'her' bow helped to fit the sketch for the Challenge!

I changed it up a bit, but this is the Sketch Challenge I used, from over at Craft Project Central! If you join the Challenge, you can win a FREE monthly subscription! You have till the end of the month, why not try it and have some fun?!

Frankie Fry Box for Class!

This is the super fun little Frankie Fry Box we'll be making at stamp class this week! I have seen our cool new Fry Box decorated so many ways - it's such a great little sized treat holder, and awesome that you can decorate it to fit whatever theme or event you need it for!

And of course your treats can just be set inside the box, but I like our 4" x 6" cello bags tied off with a little Chevron Ribbon for an added nice touch!

And here's a closer look at Frankie... did you notice he even has his 'bolts'?

I hope to see you at class this week,

Oh My Goodies for a Challenge!

This was my version of the Creating Pretty Cards - Sketch Challenge, over at Craft Project Central. I used some left over card pieces that I had on my stamp table. And I did take a few liberties to change it up - but hey, it's a 'sketch' right?! I turned the card layout, and my 'ribbon' has moved a bit, as well as the layering of my pennant pieces! Plus, my Decorative Label Punch turned into the Deco Label Framelits!  But, it's all for fun - and I did have some fun putting it together!! :)

So here's the true sketch from Craft Project Central - Why don't you give it a try?! You an even win a FREE subscription for a month's projects! Click HERE for the details!
