Twitterpatted Portfolio & Card Set

This pretty portfolio filled with cards, envelopes, and separate sentiments is a great gift.  The card sentiments (for various occasions) are kept in a little drawer inside the portfolio and can be quickly added to a card when you need one.  Instructions include variations on how the little drawer can be used if you choose to put the sentiments on the cards as you make them and don’t need the drawer for the sentiments.

This pretty set was made by Kris McIntosh, and you can get more details about her tutorial over at Craft Project Central.

More Fun for the 50th!

Here are a couple other things I made for my brother-in-law's surprise party last weekend.  Again, I used the Designer Rosette die to make these fun picks that were put into plants for the table centerpieces.  I made a bunch of them and the Rosette die made them so quick!!

They are about 5-1/2" in diameter.  And the center circles are the 3" and the 3-1/2" dies.  And, the 50 was made with the (retired) Simple Numbers.

I also made about forty of these little favors for the place settings at the tables too.  I used the retired Petal Card die for the pocket - another die that I haven't found a good replacement yet!  And the 50 was stamped with the Memorable Moments stamp set - yep, something current!! :)

Fun 50th Banner!

On Saturday my sister had a surprise 50th birthday party for her husband.  And I made this banner for her to hang at her house.  Each piece is made from a rectangle, about 5-1/2" x 9".  Then I cut in half at an angle, flipped to the other side, and glued back over the other piece.

Each banner has a rosette made from the Rosette Big Shot die.

And because of the larger size, I needed to use some of my (retired) larger numbers - these are the Simple Numbers.  And I also used a retired alphabet strip for the TH.

I also used my (retired) Serif Alphabet dies for the other letters.  I guess there are just some things that retire that you just can't replace!

Storytime - So Cute!

Here's a group photo of some of the cards I made for the Scrapbook Expo that my stampin' buddy Elizabeth Price hosted a couple weekends ago.  It's all made with the Storytime Designer Series Papers - LOVE them!!  She added the super cute banner made with the number squares (cut from the Designer Paper and strung together - awesomely easy and super cute!).

You can see some close-ups of the cards HERE.

Still lovin' this set of papers...

Friendship Preserves for Fall

Here's a fun fall card we're going to make tonight at a demonstrator get together I'm going to.  We'll be using lots of new stuff from the Holiday Catalog to make it!  I love this new Embossing Folder, Lacy Brocade - it's so elegant.  And I like the new Window Frames Collection Framelits, such a cool new shape!

And here's a closer-up of the Friendship Preserves "hello."  It's stamped in Pool Party, and then only cut out the hello.  Then stamped again in Crumb Cake, then die cut with the Framelits.  And the little button is from the Natural Designer Buttons set - I like how it goes so well with the More Mustard piece in the background.  And finally, the leaf is from the new Autumn Accents Bigz die.

It's A Birthday! - (...case)

Today is Happy Birthday to my baby, 'man-child', who turns 17!  Crazy where the time goes!!  So this is the card I made for him.  I used the You're Amazing set with the Apothecary Accents Framelit to cut out the Happy Birthday.  And I used the World Spectacular papers for the little banner pieces - love how the parts all come together!

And here's the card that my upline Tami sent me that allowed me to CASE!! :)  I just love this card - it's a perfect card for anyone, just change the colors or designer papers to whatever you like!

A Simple Happy Hour!

Here's a quick card I made today!  My husband and I are big wine fans, so when this set, Happy Hour, came out I knew I wanted it.  There are so many pieces to the set that you can really do a lot of fun things with it!

I kept this card very simple - the 'Cherry Cobbler' wine is stamped and punched out with the 1-3/8" circle and layered on a 1-3/4" scallop circle.  Then I ran a 1-3/4" x 4-1/4" piece of Whisper White through the Big Shot with the Chevron Embossing Folder.  And I attached it to the front of the card with a piece of Dotted Scallop Ribbon, peeking out from the bottom edge of it.

And one of my favorite parts of the card - I LOVE the saying!  "Any hour spent with you is HAPPY HOUR!"  - So fun!

CASing a Beauty!

I've had this really cute card saved on my desktop of my computer for a couple months now - just sitting there waiting to be CASed!  So I decided that today was time to make it!  The original was made by Tessa Wise, and I did change up the colors a little (on hers some were colors that are now retired), and I did a few other different things.

Here's a closer look at the flowers that are from the set, Raining Flowers.  It was a set we got at Convention in 2011.  I still love how cute and fluffy looking they are!  And I stamped them in Tangerine Tango ink.  The stems behind them are stamped on Lucky Limeade card stock, in Lucky Limeade ink. - Then, yep, it's all cut out by hand!!

And here's the 'thank you' saying I chose, from the set Made for You!  LOVE that set, great price for all the use I get out it!!

Googly Ghouls for a Challenge!

I made this card this morning for the Card Challenge over at Craft Project Central!  I've been dying to ink up these cool little guys from the new set Googly Ghouls.  You can find them in the Holiday Catalog.

Here's a closer look at the witch and mummy - and of course they have some 'googlies' on their eyes!  I LOVE these little things - and most of all, I LOVE that they're self-adhesive!!  Sooo easy to put them on!!  I know in the past I've bought the googly eyes from a craft store and what a pain to glue them on!

And here's "Frank!"  I didn't give much color to any of the 'ghouls,' but it sure keep the card easy, simple and clean!

And here's the sketch I followed.  You can do it too - head over to Craft Project Central and join in!

Back to School Cuties!

I was crafting with some of my stampin' buddies the other day and we made a bunch of cool stuff.  I was helping with some ideas using the Storytime Designer Papers.  So this first card was pretty much my idea.

Then I found some cute cards made by Kim Score, and I kinda added some extra touches to them!  It was actually my buddy Liz's idea to add a little bling to the little red wagon.  She said to use the Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details, but I like the 'less mess' version.  So I cut a piece of Red Glimmer Paper and covered the wagon with that!  Fun little sparkle, huh?!

This was another re-do of Kim Score.  I added a couple things, but I didn't add a greeting to it yet.  I think it needs an oval with a scallop oval right by the boy's balloon.  I think I'll wait and add it when I know what occasion I'm sending it for!

What I most love about all these cards is that they were made so easily with just the images from the Storytime papers!  Even though I love to stamp, it's kind of cool to make an easy card without any stamps!

Fun Giftie Project for Friday!

Here's a look at the project we'll be making this Friday at class!  It's a simple little matchbook cover.  It has a subtle stamped cover with the Creative Elements set swirly stamp.

And the little Scallop Oval 'especially for you' tag covers the staple that holds the inside card stock piece in place!

By the way, that little 'especially for you' comes from the set Made for You.  - Has to be one of my most favorite and most used new sets!!  It has two other sayings in it - 'thank you' and 'happy birthday'  And for just $8.95 (clear mount) it's definitely a best buy!!

But back to the project - Look what's inside!!  It's a pair of earrings!  I got the idea from a gift I got at Convention from my stampin' buddy Kaylene.  She made me some - and told me how supertastically easy they were to make.  (Yes, I said supertastically!)  So I knew this was going to have be one of my first "shares" with my class!!

And here's another look at the inside!  I love how the flower from the Creative Elements set coordinates with the earrings!  They are just so cute - and they come in the 5 new In Colors - Gumball Green, Midnight Muse, Primrose Petals, Raspberry Ripple and Summer Starfruit.

Thanks for stopping by, and hope to see you at class this Friday!!
