For My Grad!

This is the card I made for my son for his high school graduation! Bittersweet - the last day of high school for him today! And tomorrow is the big day for the ceremony.

I was inspired to make this card from a card I saw on Splitcoast, made by Chris Smith. I love her work! But of course, I did change my design a bit - mostly for the color I wanted to use! And I added a graduation cap where she put a flower. The graduation cap is a little bit smaller version of the tutorial I made last year!

Well, off to get a bit more organized for the upcoming events!

Shimmered Swallowtail

Here's a card we made at stamp class last week. I started out stamping it with a certain plan in mind, but then I took out the Heat Tool and embossed it! I hadn't done any heat embossing in a while, and Wow! I just fell in love with embossing again!! It's so awesome to emboss - and such pretty results!

Since it didn't need any coloring, I decided to spritz a little extra shimmer with the Frost White Shimmer Paint/rubbing alcohol spray (gonna miss that Shimmer Paint!!).
