More for Mom's Birthday!

This is the card I made for my mom for her birthday a little over a week ago!  I made it bright and fun in the colors she likes, and I coordinated it with the banner I made for her too.

 

I also made these quick and fun pinwheels to put around the house in a few places.  

 

They were super quick and easy - and I love they add a pop of fun color wherever you put them!

More Convention Fun Stuff!

Here's another card I made to swap at Convention.  I used the Papillon Potpourri and Sweet Essentials sets for this card.  I kept the colors simple with Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake and Elegant Eggplant.

 

This card I made was with the Storybook Friends set and the coordinating Storytime designer Papers.  And I used the new Argyle Folder to add a little texture for the background!

Back from Convention!

Convention was an awesome trip again!!  Stampin' Up! put on yet another great event for us!  This picture is my stampin' buds Kaylene Murray, me and Elizabeth Price.  We were at our first day of Make and Takes.  They split the make and takes into three sessions so we had three days of make and takes, instead of how the past was a one day make and take session.  I kind of liked that - it made it feel like more stamp time!

 

And here's one of the cards I made to swap.  I like it because it uses the set Moving Forward.  It's easy to find in the catalog - the last page inside the back cover!  And I REALLY like that it's our Ronald McDonald House charity set this year.  It's a super cute set AND it's gives $3 to the Ronald McDonald House Charities. - How cool is that?

But the coolest thing was that we got the set as a gift at the last general session of Convention!  I feel so lucky to be part of all the fun and awesomeness that Stampin' Up! represents!!

A Special Celebration!!

Last Sunday we celebrated my mom's 70th birthday!  Her real birthday is July 17th, but we had a small family get together on the weekend for her.  So I made this quick banner at about 10:30 the night before everyone came - I rarely do things too far in advance ;)

I chose Rich Razzleberry, Island Indigo and Baja Breeze for the color palette.  Then I just starting Big Shotting pieces!!  I mainly used the Perfect Pennants Die.  With a whole pile of die cut pieces I just started mixing and layering, and it all came together!!  It's such a fun process to make the banner that way!

I used 'bling' with the Rhinestone Jewels and Silver Glimmer to add pop in some spots!

 

I made a few other fun things that I'll share later.  But if you haven't tried a banner, they are so fun and easy - you should try one!!

Storybook Friends Card and Candy Box

This fun gift box with four greeting cards and envelopes also includes a special chocolate treat in a separate compartment!  This project makes a great and inexpensive gift for those that like to send out cards and also like chocolate.  The tutorial includes measurements for three different box sizes, including A2 size cards with six nuggets, note cards with five nuggets, and 3" x 3" gift cards with three nuggets!

Wedding Card and a Project

This is a card I made for a wedding I went to on Saturday.  I started with the White Blossom - I just love that punch!  Then I had to decide what to do for the center of it.

  

I've been looking for a reason to use the new A Fitting Occasion set. - And this was it!  So I stamped the 'congratulations' circle in Pool Party and a couple coordinating sized circles with it.  And the Polka Dot Pool Party brad was a perfect center.

 

I used the Perfect Polka Dots Folder and some Shimmer Spritz for the white background of the card.  And for the saying I used the Sweet Essentials set - love the simplicity of it!!  And for the cute little border, I used the Finishing Touches Edgelits - Love, Love it!!  I thought it might be a bit of a pain with all the little holes, but it was awesome!!  I think I had to push out two little pieces.  Other than that, they all came right out - and so cute!
