Thanks with Pretty Postage!

I made a few of these little Thank You Matchbooks tonight. I needed something simple so I could duplicate them, and the Matchbook is always a quickie! You just have to decide how big to make it depending on what you'll put inside.

So I decided to use the Nursery Suite papers. I have a lot pieces of left from baby shower stuff I made, but I really like the patterns for lots of everyday things - and I think they're super cute and springy/summery!

Then I decided to use the thanks, thanks, thanks from the Pretty Postage set - so easy to use! And it made sense to use the colors that were in the Nursery Suite Papers. And, yep, that's the new Postage Stamp Punch (in Espresso Cardstock)!

- Of course, it needed a little something more, so why not a bitty button?! They're so fun for a little extra somethin' - and easy to match with just a snip of coordinating cardstock punched underneath.

Here's the treat inside - all healthy of course, granola (grains) and dark chocolate ('healthy' chocolate).

Well, off to make some more...

Postage Can be Pretty!

I've been working on a swap with the set Pretty Postage (available on May 1st in the Summer Mini Catalog), and this is the last of the cards! I've only posted one other card that I made, but this is the fourth one I did. The colors I used are Very Vanilla, Rich Razzleberry and Always Artichoke. And I used the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder for the base of the card.

For the larger part of the layers, I used the Always Artichoke Patterned Papers, Basic Black and a Razzleberry Scalloped Border Edge.

Here's a closer-up of the Pretty Postage. I hand cut the "sweet" part, and then layered it onto a Postage Stamp Punch in Black. And those were dimensionaled onto a Scallop Square punch! I added the "friends" stamp from the Tiny Tags set, punched out with the Jewelry Tag punch. And I added a black brad with Linen thread - I love the linen thread! It works great in little and big spaces!

Pretty Postage Sneak Peek!

Today I thought I'd share a Sneak Peek of some new Summer Mini stuff (coming out in May). I participate in a swap with my upline and some sidelines, where we each pick a new set and then design four cards, and duplicate that set for each of us in the group. It's a great deal, because then we each have four cards with new sets to show off when the new Mini comes out!

So my set is the new Pretty Postage set, which also has a coordinating new punch - love new punches!! So I'm glad I got it! It has four stamps in it, so I'll design one card for each stamp - kinda easy, except that that as I started creating yesterday, I realized hummm... what to do with such small images!! I have to do a lot of other creating around the small images!

I started with this cute little 24-7 stamp in Blushing Bride. It's stamped and cut and layered, and backed with the new Postage Stamp Punch. I also scrunched some Blushing Bride Stitched Poly ribbon under it, and added a linen thread bow.

It kind of needed something to fill a little more space so I added a "Word Window" of a friend, punched from a piece like the background. I sponged it and highlighted the letters with Smooch Top Coat. And it shows way better in person!

Here's another picture of the background, where maybe you can see the Texturz plate was used on the white. I also added some Crumb Cake brads because it still needed a little space filler on that side!

And the whole thing was put on a Polka Dotted Embossed card base!

Have a great Sunday,

Julie
