It has accordion folded sides that give it lots of room inside, and the ribbon hanger on the top make it a super cute door hanger treat too! The matching card makes this a great gift for any sweet Valentine!

And here's the super good news - If you leave a comment on this post, you'll have a chance to win a FREE subscription to Craft Project Central for the month of January! You'll get the tutorial for my project and nine others! On Friday, I will draw a name from those that have left a comment. What have you got to lose?

Come See Us at the Expo!

Today I helped set up at the Santa Clara Scrapbook Expo with some of my Stampin' buddies. We'll have a booth - and it looks amazing! I hope you'll be coming to see us!

This lamp is one of the projects I made for our Beau Chateau section. I was inspired by a lamp that was on display at Convention last month. I changed mine up a bit - used different paper and a different flower die, and added ribbon and a tag.

And here's a closer-up of the tag. It's one of the Beau Chateau Side Notes with some extras.

I hope you come by and visit us on Friday or Saturday!

Bold Fun Flowers Birthday!

I needed a card for my sister's birthday this weekend, and I usually go pretty conservative for her. But since I knew I was just going to get her a gift certificate, I figured I could go BOLD for the card! Got keep something exciting, huh?

I did decide to use the Sketch Challenge from Create with Connie and Mary to help with the card layout. And I made it a 5 1/8" square card - kind of a fun change! I'm not sure what inspired me to go with these colors, Melon Mambo and Concord Crush, but I thought they were kind of a change of pace and fun.

I used the Fun Flowers Big Shot die for the flower parts. And I used the Clearly for You background stamp on the in-between flower layer. I also did lots of sponging with the Concord Crush.

Then I used the Happy Birthday from the Curly Cute set (love those words!). For the flower stem, I just free-handed the cutting. But for the leaves I used the Blossom Petals Punch. I also added some Perfect Polka Dots to the bottom part of the card, and a White Stain knot!

Thanks for stopping by,

A Little Fun Flower Thanks!

I made a few of these little 3" x 3" thank you's the other day. It's a pretty quick little card. I used Daffodil, Espresso and the Sew Suite papers for the flower layers and the card base. I added a button from the Sew Suite button collection with a tag from the Tiny Tags set. After I added the Fun Flower layers, they pretty much filled the card front!!

Here's a close-up and side view of the flower layers - lots of dimensionals! The white string is a Sneak Peek of new "Baker's Twine" coming in the Summer Mini (coming May 1st).

So I've had the Fun Flower die since it came out, and I absolutely love it, but I haven't wanted to use it with class stuff because it's been on back order. And I really don't want to tease people - you can use mine, but you can't get your own... yet! Anyway, that's just kind of how I think about stuff on back order. But, now it's back in stock (and the ones I had that were on back order came in!! - And that's why I made these little thank you's too!).

So then you might think... well great, but now the Occasions mini is going to be over April 30th. But
there will be lots of items that will still be available to order! So before April 30th gets here, you can prioritize the things you NEED! The stamp sets are always a gamble... they may or may not make it to the new catalog in July. So if you want any of the stamps, you probably better get them now. But on the accessories and dies... here you go...

When the Summer Mini starts on May 1st, you'll still be able to order these things. They just won't be pictured in the new Mini.

Have a great Sunday,

Julie
