More New Stuff!

I can't stand how excited I am about the New Big Shot stuff!! This is a super-easy punch out called the Bag w/ Scallops, a Big Shot Bigz XL die! It is so super-easy to punch and put together! A few strips of Sticky Strip - and Wahlah!! Plus, of course, I added some of the new Sale-A-Bration Designer Series Papers and a little scallop edged Whisper White piece to the front. And, I added some white grosgrain through a double rectangle punch in the flap. And, the set used for the little Word Window punch out, is "You and Moi" - the saying says, I still "heart" you! This was a real quickie! But that's what I LOVE about the new Big Shot stuff!!

I hope you're having a great week~

Top Note Bag Box

Last night, I went to a demonstrator get together where we made samples for the new Sale-A-Bration sets. I can't wait to show you everything, and make some of them in class! - but they'll have to be secret till then!! So, the previous post was one of my samples - the new Big Shot XL die, Box #2. This super-cute bag/box was designed by my awesome stamper friend, Chari. It uses the new Sale-A-Bration designer series papers, the Sale-A-Bration ribbon special, the small and wide oval punches, and the Top Note die. She cut and scored a piece of cardstock to create the little box that the Top Note die punch outs are stuck onto. But when we were comparing, the little box that she created is almost the same size as the Box #2 punch out. If you cut the lid off, it's almost the same size. Then you can just attach the Top Note punch outs to the sides of the box.

This second picture is the side view so you can see the box attached!

Hope you're having a great weekend!

A Newer Version!

So, this probably looks a little familiar, huh? I re-vamped the last post with a new twist. I ordered "a few" new things from the Spring Summer Idea Book and Catalog. And some of my favorites - are the new Big Shot accessories. If you don't already own a Big Shot, I'm not sure how you'll survive without one!?! - all these new dies that Stampin' Up! is offering!?! This picture is the Sizzix Box #2 die offered in our new catalog. It fits twelve of those little Hershey Nuggets candies - and of course, you can wrap Designer Series Papers around those to coordinate with the super cute little box!
So, to make this box, I just punched out the die from Old Olive Cardstock with the Big Shot. It took about 1" of Sticky Strip to adhere it all together - awesome! Then I cut a 1 1/4" x 10 1/2" strip of Raspberry Tart Designer Series Paper - no scoring - just stuck it around the box, and attached a tag with coordinating Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbbon - and Wahlah!! This will come in so handy for party favors and treat boxes for a super fast and easy small gift to a friend! Oh, and the set used was from the new Sale-A-Bration set, Yummy, will be out on February 1st!

I hope you have a super weekend - just remember that we need this rain, and it is a good excuse to be inside and stamping!

Old Design, New Products!

I did some playing with stamp stuff over the three-day weekend! I find that I don't go back and make some of my easy, and favorite, projects very often. I'll demonstrate it for a class then I kind of set the idea aside! So, I decided that I need to keep making my easy, favorites, but just use new products on them! So, this is the 2-4-6-8 box, or mini milk carton box. I used just a 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 half sheet of cardstock, scored at 2, 4, 6, and 8 inches. Then turned and scored at 1 1/2, 3 1/2 and 5. I trimmed and sealed up the side and bottom, and "squished" the top closed! Tahdah! Added some of our new Designer Series Paper, Raspberry Tart, some Old Olive grosgrain, and a tag with the soon-to-be-earned Sale-A-Bration set "Yummy." Super easy!!

Scallop Circle Cone Treat

After searching around some of my favorite blogs today, I found this cute little treat holder. I love all the little candy holders and things!! Anyway, so cool - it is just a piece of Designer Series Paper put through the Big Shot with the Scallop Circle die! Then you just kinda roll it into a cone shape and stick it down with a piece of Sticky Strip. I even cheated on the bow - I tied it first and then glue dotted it on. I used a heart stamp from the Love you Much set and layered with circle punches and a Birds and Blooms scallop circle sizzlet (also from the Big Shot dies). It was so super-easy and super-fast! Always love that!! Usually when you're trying to re-create an idea from memory it takes a few tries, and lots of re-dos, but this was my first one - no re-dos!

Have a great weekend! I hope you all have a three-day weekend too! I'm looking forward to an extra day off!

Love You Much!

Wow! Another week flying right by... And Valentine's Day is fast approaching! This card is made from many of the parts from the Love You Much Bundle. The Bundle includes the Stamp set Love You Much, the designer series papers Candy Lane, and the Heart to Heart punch (not used on this card though). The special price for all three is $41.48 (regularly all three would be $51.85 - that's 20% off). A pretty good deal! The special ends on January 31st. And if you didn't want all the parts, each piece will be sold separately in the new Spring/Summer Idea Book & Catalog. You can check out all those things, and more, on my website when you click on the link at the left.

And, yes, did I mention the New Spring Summer Idea Book & Catalog?! Woohoo!! It is here!! Ordering starts on Monday, January 19th. There are so many awesome new things! I'm especially excited about all the new parts for the Big Shot! I can't wait to get them and use them in our classes! For those of you that have orders from the last Technique class, I'll be bringing your new catalog with your orders. Otherwise, give me a call or email and we'll make arrangements to get yours to you!!

Have a Happy Friday tomorrow!!

Quick Thank Yous

I have been a bad, bad girl. Being a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, with tons of awesome stamps and supplies, I should have no excuse for not having Thank You cards on hand at ALL times, right?! Well, there is always time as an excuse, but honestly... Sometimes I feel like every card has to be some masterpiece work of art! So, a lot of times I spend way too much time looking for ideas, rather than just making something.

Well, last night was the dreaded Sunday night, 9:30pm with Math tests to correct, and Thank You notes from school Christmas gifts I received still not written. (OK, so in my own defense, I did just get the gifts last Monday - so it has ONLY been a week!) Anyway, I did start with correcting the Math Tests first. Like the golden rule - work before play - Math tests felt like the work before the Thank yous, that was the fun stuff!!

And, they really did turn out to be fun... I finally just thought, you know the important part is that I get the Thank you out there, not that each card has to be some kind of a masterpiece! (Finally, back to my original train of thought here!) Anyway, I felt a little proud of myself, if I must say so... I took out four sheets of cardstock, about a half a sheet of Designer Series Papers, a coordinating ribbon roll, a Thank You stamp (Thank You Kindly stamp set), a basic brown pad, my trimmer and a 1/8" hole punch - and I went to town. I made eight thank yous, not over the top, but not too unfortunate-looking either. Honestly, they were done in about 15 minutes.

So, I feel a little more inspired to maybe think of just sitting down every once in a while, bust a few quick cards - even leave room for a saying on the front so they can be ready to go for any occasion. Just remember they don't always have to be that masterpiece creation!

Hope your week is off to a good start! Thanks for stopping by~

A Winter Treat

So, I know that I emailed those of you that are regulars for my Friday Class and told you that I'd put up a Sneak Peek this week before class. Sorry it took me until the night before the class to post this. There's never enough hours in the day...or week... Anyway... This is the Lip Balm Holder that we'll be making in tomorrow's class. I wanted to use the Frosty Day paper that is from the Holiday Mini catalog before winter is gone!! I figured the "snowflake" "cold" theme went well with a lip balm - I can sure attest to needing the lip balm on these last few cold mornings!! But this would be a cute little gift to give a friend before winter is done! Or, if you procrastinate long enough, just change the papers to summer-themed and make it a sunscreen version of the lip balm!!

And, the inside uses the message from the Best Yet Level 1 Hostess set. I know many of you have already earned that set, but this month is the end of the Fall/Winter catalog, and all its hostess sets. It will retire as of January 18th!! I can't wait for the new catalogs!!! OK, OK now I'm getting off-topic. Back to the project. I hope you like it, and I hope to see you at class tomorrow night to make it!

I'm Baaack!!

Happy New Year!! Wow, where has the time gone?!! It's been almost three weeks since I've posted anything. Time flies! I've been to Chicago in the snow, back to the Hollister cool weather, then to Hawaii in the sun!, and back to Hollister's cool again! It was all lots of fun, but it does feel good to be back and stamping!! I did make Christmas cards, but then I kinda took a little break from stamping - although I'm always thinking about projects, color combinations, and things I could be making. Even on one of the flights I was on in the past few weeks, I was analyzing this little salt and pepper shaker - thinking about how I could re-vamp it into a cute little candy holder for a class project! We'll see what comes of it??

Anyway, I'm looking forward to Technique class this Friday... I have some fun stuff planned. Believe it or not, we'll be talking Valentines. So, I thought I better post a little Happy New Year before we jump right into February! This was a quick copy-cat I saw from someone's blog. I did a little of my own tweaking too. The sets used are Season of Friendship (from the Holiday Mini) and Holidays and Wishes (from the Fall/Winter Catalog). Both catalogs will be ending mid-January. I'm super-excited to see what's going to be in the new catalog!! We have lots of sets and (just released today) accessories retiring. Check out my Stampin' Up! website for more details.
Otherwise, come to Technique class on Friday and I'll fill you in on all the upcoming scoop - plus make some fun stuff!
Have a great week!!
