Creation Station - Sweet Treat Packages!

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin'! This month we're stamping Sweet Treat Packages! This is right up my alley!! I love little packaging stuff, little treats to give to friends and family - this is my jam! So I picked a few of my easiest and favorite quick projects - all based around 6" x 6" pieces of Designer Paper! - And this time with the Hydrangea Haven Papers - Love, Love, Love these!!

The first one we did at my last class! I'm kind of sad that these Clear Tiny Treat Boxes are retiring - they are so easy to decorate, fill with some treats and top off with a fun Belly Band!

The biggest thing to creating this is adding a 2" x 6" piece of Designer Series Paper to the inside of the box. Then you add some treats inside. - So, so quick and easy!!

 

And a quick layered tag on top of a simple belly band is so easy!! I love that this slides off easily and makes it re-usable, or at least not 'ruined' when it's opened.

And this was a favorite from almost 10 years ago (see my post HERE)!! I recreated a Double Pocket Holder from someone else's larger design - I just made mine smaller for a 6" x 6" piece of Designer Paper (I Love small stuff!!). 

It's so fun - you can put a Ghiradelli Square in each side like I did. Or other fun stuff fits in - tea bags, other small treat packs!

And then I made this super cute little open treat holder! Again it's made from a piece of 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper. And it fits a lot of treats in each little section!

This one has easy score lines and takes just minutes to create as well! I Love creating quick and easy treat holders - so fun to make and even more fun to give!!

Creation Station Blog Hop - Outback Outwest!

 

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin'! This month at Creation Station we are stamping Outwest, which is not my wheelhouse! ;)  So I decided to go for an earthy vibe and create something with the stamp set I had - 'Enjoy the Moment' from the January - June Mini Catalog.

Even when I'm stamping something that's not really my style, I add touches of my own style and feel like it helps to make it all good! 

I stamped the image using Early Espresso (which I'm not really sure I've even seen one of these in real life...). And then I added Pumpkin Pie Blends, just because I liked how they kept it earthy with a little pop of color! And I even gave a flick of color with the Pumpkin Pie Blends to the image after die cutting it.

And I always like 'Dimensionaled' layers - cuz that just helps every card look it's best! So between the Subtle Embossed layer and then again between the In Good Taste Designer Paper layer and the die cut I added Dimensionals!

Twine or ribbon really give an added touch. And I like to add some kind of sequins or gems - in 3's is a nice touch!

 

I've tried to be better lately about completing the inside of the card. So I added a couple coordinating stamped images and colored them with the Pumpkin Blends as well. And I also die cut it with the Stitched Rectangle die to coordinate with the front stitched die cut circle.

Creation Station Blog Hop - How to Design Your Own Stamp Set!

 

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin! This month at Creation Station we are celebrating the sets of Million-Dollar sales achievers with Stampin' Up! If you didn't already know, when a demonstrator hits the $1,000,000 sales milestone, they get to design a stamp set. So cool, right?! If I keep at my current sales pace, I might be able to create my set in about 53 years! Hahaha!! ;)

I chose a set that was featured in our Holiday Mini Catalog, Press On. It was created by demonstrator Joyce Feraco.

I Love that this set can be great for masculine cards as well! And here's what I made with it -

I used the In Good Taste Designer Series Papers for the front of the card. - Love the masculinity of those papers for sure! 

The Soft Suede Stitched Rectangle piece is adhered under the Crumb Cake, inside piece. It is a flap that opens up, making it a sort-of tri-fold card.

The inside is left blank for a nice thank you message!

I hope you liked this simple card, and if you like the stamp set and haven't gotten it yet - you better hurry!! It is being retired from the Holiday Mini catalog tomorrow.

Creation Station Hop - Ice, Ice Baby!

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin' - I'm excited to be sharing an Ice, Ice Baby Creation with you today!! I have a super fun card to share. It uses the Warm & Toasty stamp set and the Snowflake Splendor Designer Series Papers, and it has a surprise inside!! 

   

On the card front, I used the Bashful Blue and Highland Heather Stampin' Blends sets to color the scarf and hat of the skating polar bear. He's been fussy cut and 'dimensionaled' onto a die cut oval 'ice rink' and then glued to a subtle Snowflake Splendor DSP piece. And gotta love the Blue-Adhesive Backed Gems to give that extra sparkle to the card front!!

And then for the inside - 

    

So cool, right?! It's just a 6" x 6" piece of designer paper. It's folded in half both ways, and then flipped over and folded from corner to corner. That makes the little diamond-shaped pop-up piece that is glued inside the card.

Then I added the layers with the sentiment inside, and tah-dah! A fun and surprising inside bit of fun!

Creation Station Blog Hop - Tool Time!

 

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin' and to the Creation Station Blog Hop for the month of September! This moth we are focusing on tools! Simple stamping can be fun and easy, but with 'tools,' you can really up your stamping game! And my #1, go-to, always-out-and-ready-to-use tool is the new Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Die-cutting with the machine makes that perfection shine through, and embossing adds that sometimes subtle, but powerful extra pop of coordination. And our new machine is the sleekest and smoothest running machine!! - I Love it!!

So the card I made for the hop this month is Halloween-themed! I just love this time of year, decorating for Halloween and creating Halloween cards and treats! And of course, I relied on the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to help with my creation.

The Plaid Tidings Designer Series Papers are the Wow! that helped me plan the color palette of the card. And then I used a sample from the catalog to help design the Have A Hoot owl. I Loved the look of the owl and spider popped up from the branches. 

And that's where the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine helped with the precise cutting of those guys! They stand out so much more interestingly!

The machine cuts so quietly and smoothly! And Love that the new plates, with numbers, make it easy to know how to stack them to cut.

And this card may look like it's just a layered card, but it's also a fun-fold! The top Pumpkin Pie layer is actually a flap that uncovers a small writing area, plus a pocket for a gift card or money!

Here's a closer up of the pocket front, where I embossed the extra piece withe the Cobwebs Embossing Folder.

And again, the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine was the tool to create the perfectly coordinated, embossed piece - in a flash!

Creation Station - New In Color Combos!

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin'! This month we're stamping with the New In Colors! - Cinnamon Cider, Misty Moonlight, Magenta Madness, Bumblebee and Just Jade - I Love our new In Colors!! But I 'most' Love Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight; they're my favorites!!

So I decided to make two monochromatic cards with my two new favorites! First is the Magenta Madness card. I started with the Flowers for Every Season Memories & More Cards & Envelopes. These are really just a set of 2 each of each In Color Card Base. I added the In Color Designer Series Paper, a Tasteful Labels die cut from Whisper White.

And I am Loving the new Playful Alphabet letters, especially when used with the Foam Adhesive Sheets!! So glad this finally happened! Now we can die cut stuff with a "Dimensionaled" back!!  

Here's a look at the side to show you how the Dimensionals really do make the card!!

And a top view! And you like the sublty of the little Confetti Flowers with the Faceted Gem centers?

Or do you like the pop of a Whisper White Confetti Flower with a Misty Moonlight Enamel Dot on the Monochromatic Misty Moonlight card? 

I used a lot of Dimensionals on that one as well! I think they make the difference!

Creation Station - A Man After My Own Heart! Blog Hop

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin'! This month at Creation Station we're stamping masculine cards. Sometimes I feel like masculine cards are the hardest for me, but once I make one I realize they are actually kinda easy. I guess my tips or thoughts for making masculine cards are to keep things fairly simple, use masculine colors and don't over-embellish.

For today's card and treat box, I did that - kept it simple, used masculine colors and didn't over-do any embellishments. I used some elements from the In Good Taste Suite of products. The Designer Papers definitely have a great variety of masculine patterns, including this tweed pattern. 

I did add layers - layers are good, layers are important! Just not anything to frou-frou! I used the new Misty Moonlight ribbon, but just a flat swatch, a banner die cut from Night of Navy Cardstock and some looped Linen Thread.

Both the card and the box have the same elements on them.

Here's a closer up of the Tuck-in Flap Treat Box. I saw this made in a much larger size by a fellow UK Demonstrator, Pootles, and I set out to make it smaller to fit two Ghiradelli squares.  

I Love that it needs no adhesive to close; you just tuck the flap into the edges of the top! So cool!!

Here it is flat. I started with a 4 1/2" x 6 1/4" Misty Moonlight Cardstock piece. The top edge was scored at 3/4" and 3 3/4". I turned it and scored at 2", 2 3/4", 4 3/4" and 5 1/2". Then I used a Stylus Tool and straight edge to score the diagonals on the four 3/4" sections. I also cut off the two end 3/4" squares. To round the corners on the flap, I folded in each side to make it fit in the Detailed Trio Punch.

You are the Happy to my Day!

You are the Happy to my Day! I Love this saying! It's from a Stampin' Up! set that we've had for a while now, called Country Home. It's a great set, with a few really nice sayings.

So I pulled that out, but I was excited to use some new Stampin' Up! products to create this simple, but elegant card. The Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper is probably the star of the card! So pretty!!

I used what I know is going to be one of my new favorite "go-to" embossing folders - Tasteful Textile. It's one of those backgrounds that can be used with almost anything - and I Love it!! Isn't it so pretty white on white, just for that little something for the base of the card?!

I used one of the Tasteful Labels Dies to set off the saying, and added a Just Jade bow!

Mad as a Hatter Mash Up! for Creation Station!

This month at Creation Station we are Mad as a Hatter - we are doing things that are just crazy - crazy colors, crazy mix of stamp sets or just whatever kind of crazy mix up that we think fits this theme! 

And sometimes getting out of the box and mixing things up is hard for me. But I did what I could and it was kinda fun! 

I Love the new stamp sayings that Stampin' Up! has with the COVID-19 Giveback digital stamp set download and so I decided to use a couple of those sayings in combination with a couple other odd couple sets to create my Mad as a Hatter creation!

Inside the Broadway Lights Die cut, I added the saying from the COVID-19 Giveback sayings, but in mixed up order - "So..." was supposed to come first in the saying, but I chopped up the words and put 'so...' last in order to say "I FINISHED NETFLIX SO... (leaving a bit of hanging for the inside saying)

Here's a little closer look at the card front parts. With a few Dimensionals I added some pop to the super cute and sweet Highland Heather Walrus (from We'll Walrus Be Friends) and the die cut party hat! I did some fussy cutting to make this happen. And some crazy Pumpkin Pie High Seas Dry Embossed waves  are the background to it all - who has seen orange waves?!

All of that card front fun-ness to find the other COVID-19 download saying inside - "I've been working on my homebody" with a chubby Walrus and the Broadway Birthday ice cream cone... 

So maybe those two sayings weren't probably meant to be put together as a card outside and inside sentiment duo - but I thought it was kinda funny in combination with the chubby Walrus. 

And ya, maybe some of us have our COVID-19lbs (or more or less) to deal with when all of this lets up... so whatever! But trying to have some sense of humor hopefully lightens things up. I know who I'm sending this card to, who will appreciate it as a joke and not be offended! ;)
