Little Pumpkin Boo!

I saw this cute little idea on Stampin' Connection to make these quick and easy little pumpkin treats made by Twila Davis! - Soo cute! I changed up a few things, but made my own version.

All you need to do is punch out two Scallop Circles from Peach Parfait cardstock. Then cut off four scallops from each one (to make the flat bottom). Run the two pieces through the Big Shot with the Elegant Lines embossing folder. Stick a piece of Lucky Limeade ribbon to the inside top edges, and 'Dimensional' a Hershey's Nugget inside! - Wah lah!!

Here you can see how the Hershey's Nugget is sandwiched in between. You can use other candies... On the original one I saw, she used miniature Reese's Peanut Butter cups.

Then I made a tiny tag from Tiny Tags set to hang from the front. Wouldn't that be a cute little 'somethin' to put on a co-workers desk? Or just a little somethin' for anyone special? Maybe even a cute little somethin' at a table setting? Cute, huh?

Oh, and the quarter is there just to show you how little it really is!

A Beau Chateau Beauty!

I made this card for the Create with Connie and Mary Sketch Challenge today. I knew I wanted to use the new Beau Chateau Designer Papers (I just think these are to-die-for!!). The colors are so pretty - Soft Suede, Pink Pirouette, Marina Mist and Very Vanilla.

So as I was cutting and creating, I decided to use this cool rooster for the focal piece of the card - and guess what stamp set it comes from??

None! It's an image from the Designer Papers pack. I think that's actually kinda cool that I didn't even have to stamp the image!!

But sheesh, you can't make a card without ANY stamping - so I added a jewelry tag with a "friends" from the Tiny Tags set. And kind of subtly stamped behind the friends is a scroll-y image that actually matches the scroll-y image on the papers - sweet, huh?

End of the Year Celebrations!

This is yet another End-of-the-school-year card I made! I guess it could be considered an end-of-the-Stampin' Up!-catalog-year too though! The Celebrations Designer Papers are on the Retiring Accessories list, so it's the end for them as well!!

And here's a close-up of the 'teacher' owl! I just added some little slivers of black cardstock for the arms of his glasses! And really the punch has all the parts to make the eyes look like glasses - just use black for the largest part of the eyes and white for the second largest (instead of doing the opposite for regular eyes!).

I added a little jewelry tag punch with a Tiny Tags saying for the 'thanks {so much},' and some of our "much needed" White Bakers Twine!

Postage Can be Pretty!

I've been working on a swap with the set Pretty Postage (available on May 1st in the Summer Mini Catalog), and this is the last of the cards! I've only posted one other card that I made, but this is the fourth one I did. The colors I used are Very Vanilla, Rich Razzleberry and Always Artichoke. And I used the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder for the base of the card.

For the larger part of the layers, I used the Always Artichoke Patterned Papers, Basic Black and a Razzleberry Scalloped Border Edge.

Here's a closer-up of the Pretty Postage. I hand cut the "sweet" part, and then layered it onto a Postage Stamp Punch in Black. And those were dimensionaled onto a Scallop Square punch! I added the "friends" stamp from the Tiny Tags set, punched out with the Jewelry Tag punch. And I added a black brad with Linen thread - I love the linen thread! It works great in little and big spaces!

A Little Fun Flower Thanks!

I made a few of these little 3" x 3" thank you's the other day. It's a pretty quick little card. I used Daffodil, Espresso and the Sew Suite papers for the flower layers and the card base. I added a button from the Sew Suite button collection with a tag from the Tiny Tags set. After I added the Fun Flower layers, they pretty much filled the card front!!

Here's a close-up and side view of the flower layers - lots of dimensionals! The white string is a Sneak Peek of new "Baker's Twine" coming in the Summer Mini (coming May 1st).

So I've had the Fun Flower die since it came out, and I absolutely love it, but I haven't wanted to use it with class stuff because it's been on back order. And I really don't want to tease people - you can use mine, but you can't get your own... yet! Anyway, that's just kind of how I think about stuff on back order. But, now it's back in stock (and the ones I had that were on back order came in!! - And that's why I made these little thank you's too!).

So then you might think... well great, but now the Occasions mini is going to be over April 30th. But there will be lots of items that will still be available to order! So before April 30th gets here, you can prioritize the things you NEED! The stamp sets are always a gamble... they may or may not make it to the new catalog in July. So if you want any of the stamps, you probably better get them now. But on the accessories and dies... here you go...

When the Summer Mini starts on May 1st, you'll still be able to order these things. They just won't be pictured in the new Mini.

Happy Little Lollipop Flowers!

I decided to play along with the Pals Paper Arts Challenge today. The Challenge was to use Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake and Pear Pizzazz. I had been thinking about making a card with the lollipop flowers for a while. So I figured I'd try one with these colors! I used lots of circle punches and just layered away!! I did add in Very Vanilla and So Saffron, but I also sponged the edges of those with Daffodil Delight just to keep the focus on Daffodil Delight.

Here's a close-up of the flower with the tag (seems like the larger picture didn't show it too well). I used the Tiny Tags set and the Jewelry tag punch for the little hello. For the flower stems, I just cut skinny strips; and for the leaves I used the 5 Petal Flower punch - just trimmed off a petal each for a leaf.

And probably you can see the Shimmer Spray on the polka dotted background... I just can't stop Shimmering!!!
