Creation Station Blog Hop! - Trees and Textures

Welcome to my blog - and to the Trees and Textures Hop for the month of May! I'm super excited to share a little piece of the new Rooted in Nature stamp set. It's a stamp set that will be available in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.

I made a very simple, but 'textured' with a tree card :)

I used Crumb Cake Cardstock for the card base, and a added the Pinewood Planks Embossing Folder to the second layer of Crumb Cake. It's so subtle, but a really nice touch.

Then I added a 3/4" smidge of Soft Suede Cardstock - and in keeping with the theme, I added some texture by scrunching, scrunching and more scrunching of the cardstock till it was somewhat soft - then peeled the two layers apart - and the result was two pieces of suede feeling pieces - love that texture!! And my favorite Linen Thread added, and tied around the middle and into a small subtle bow. Subtle, but more texture to add...

I hope you like my simple card!

And I hope you like what's to come in this fun blog hop - next up is Mikaela Tetheridge! I hope you enjoy her fabulous creation ~

Thanks for stopping by,

Julie B
