And what grad wouldn't love this little container, with maybe something more ($) in it than a couple chocolate treats?!

Hope to see you at class this week,

Julie B

PS - This little project will be part of my Craft Project Central tutorial for May - so stay tuned and you'll get to see all the other parts that coordinate with it, plus you can buy the tutorial in May.

Bye, Bye Baja Breeze!

Baja Breeze has always been one of my favorite colors... and now it's going to be retired! I'm sad, but I know I'll get over it :) There are some great choices that may replace it - so we'll see! Maybe Soft Sky? and I'm liking the new Pistachio Pudding and Coastal Cabana...

But anyway, I needed a couple birthday cards to mail out today. So I decided to use some things that I know will be retiring. I really liked the Moving Forward (Ronald McDonald charity set), and didn't use it as much as I wanted to - so I did today! I saw a card on Splitcoast (I think) that inspired the design!

Floral Scrapbook Wall Hanging

Do you have an extra special family picture that you’d like to display, but are getting tired of the plain-frame look?  Here’s a way to show off your family picture and your creativity!  This is a 10: x 10" scrapbook page inserted into a shadow box.  putting it into a shadow box also enables you to use a lot of dimension that would normally be too fat for a scrapbook album!  This project can easily be customized to the colors of the room you want to display it in.  It would also make a great class for National Scrapbooking Month!

So Simple Swallowtail!

I love the new Swallowtail single stamp from the Spring catalog. I've had it for a bit, and was kind of intimidated on how to use it. I kept thinking that I wanted to stamp and color it. It's so big though, so I kept setting it aside - and telling myself, "Ya, later!"

So today I braved it, and just decided to pick a bold color and stamp it. - And there ya go!! I added a saying - and called it done! And I like it!! Hope you do too!

Fluffy Filtered Flower atop a Kraft Box!

This is a super fun little gift box we'll be creating at stamp class this Thursday and Friday. I LOVE the Creped Filter Paper that Stampin' Up! is selling in our Spring catalog - the quality of is unmatched! It looks like it's tissue paper, but it's definitely a very different thickness. - very flexible, but super sturdy. I know because I've squished and scrunched, and stuck and unstuck it from a couple different projects. And it still holds up. It's awesome!

Anyway, if you're coming to class, you'll get to make this Fluffy Filtered Flower and see for yourself how cool it is to work with.

I hope to see you at class later this week,
