Creation Station Blog Hop - Up in the Air!

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin'! And welcome to the Creation Station Blog Hop for May! Our creations this month are "Up in the Air!" So one of the first must-haves that I bought in my demonstrator preorder was the Adventurous Sky bundle, the Take to the Sky Designer Series Paper and Industrial Trinkets! - And it's all a perfect fit for the theme this month! It's also a great suite of products to use for some awesome masculine cards.

This card is a super fun and easy layout, for a little something different too! It's called a Fold Back Card. You start with a 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" card base, and then score it at 3 1/4" and 6 1/2".

The one inch section is the 'fold back' part! And I decorated mine with a piece of Boho Blue Cardstock that was dry embossed with the Metal Plate Folder. And then, an important part in creating the card, you attach your focal pieces to the one inch section as well. I used a Nested Essentials die cut piece to attach my airplane and sentiment onto!

Something I love about this layout also is the size Designer Paper piece used on the front and inside! I had a 3" x 6" piece that I trimmed off a 3/4" strip from the bottom edge. The larger 3" x 5 1/4" piece was for the card front.

And the 3/4" x 3" strip accented the bottom edge of the White Cardstock piece inside. Seems like a funny thing, but it makes me happy when I can use all the paper, with no leftover scraps!

I hope you enjoyed your stop here, and I can't wait to see what the awesome Denita Wright-Smee has in store for us next on the hop!

See you soon,

Creation Station Blog Hop - Heat Embossing!

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin' and welcome to our blog hop for the month of April! We are showcasing Heat Embossed creations! So, full confession - I don't do too much heat embossing lately! I will say though that heat embossing was one of the "WOW" factors that first drew me into stamping. And I do still love the look of heat embossing, but maybe I've just gotten lazy about getting out a few extra things to create with.

So for today's card I decided to go with one of my favorite things to do with heat embossing, when I do break out the powders and heat tool! - And that is to make a pretty white embossed sentiment to coordinate with a pretty card!

I recently bought the Magnolia Mood bundle, stamps and dies, and decided to finally make a card with it. I chose to go with the traditional colors that I see on the magnolia tree in my yard.

Our upcoming, new In Color, Petunia Pop, is the perfect color to match the magnolias. They start out as buds with that beautiful Petunia Pop color, and then open up to white blooms. And that was what I was attempting to re-create on my card!

And like I said, I love the pop of a white heat embossed sentiment on the coordinating color of cardstock!

And hopefully you can see some of the Wink of Stella that sets off the beauty of the magnolias too! - Although I know Wink of Stella always looks so much better in person!

I hope you continue on the hop and check out what the awesome Vicki Boucher has created!

Creation Station Hop - Sweet Delights and Sugared Dreams!

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin'! This month at Creation Station we're creating with the theme Sweet Delights and Sugared Dreams. I have a couple of 'sweet' things paired up for this one!!

I started with a Sweet Thoughts Memories & More card base. I love that these cards are a little bit larger than our typical 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" size, it is 4 1/4" x 6 1/4". That 3/4" extra in card height was perfect for this awesomely large ice cream cone! And I love that the Memories & More cards come with a coordinating envelope!

This 'sweet' ice cream cone was made with dies from the Ice Cream Swirl bundle. I love using the Petal Pink Glimmer Paper on top of the Petal Pink Cardstock so the ice cream really sparkles and stands out!

The ice cream is Dimensionaled on a White and Pool Party layer, that has a Stitched with Whimsy accent. I like how those dies give just a fun little detail!

And my latest favorite sentiments come from the Thoughtful Moments Hybrid Embossing Folder! This 'Celebrate' was embossed/die cut from White Cardstock, then I just lightly added Pool Party Blends ink to the raised letters. - So fresh!! And some Lost Lagoon Bordered Ribbon and Rainbow Adhesive-Backed Dots finish off the card.

I hope you enjoyed your stop here, and hope you'll join me in hopping along to see what the awesome Rachel Traudt has created!

Creation Station - Sale-A-Brate Friendship!

Welcome to Just Julie B Stampin'! And welcome to the Creation Station Blog hop this month! We are creating friendship ideas with Sale-A-Bration in mind... There are so many awesome choices from Sale-A-Bration this year and... even more were added on February 1st!! So I had so many decisions to make in what to stamp and show you.

I chose a card that I made with my card class friends. I love this card to use for so many occasions - birthday, thank you, get well, Valentine's Day, just because... Or just a friendship card!

I used the Bright Skies Bundle for the die cuts and sentiment - Love this new bundle!! And the Sunny Days Designer Series Paper from Sale-A-Bration coordinates with the bundle too - so that made my coordination so much easier!

And do you just love those little hearts and flowers gems??! They make me so happy, they're just adorable!! They are shown in our Jan-April Mini Catalog with the Bee Mine Suite of products, but when you open this card, check out fabulously they coordinate with the print inside...

The hearts are the same Petal Pink color and I love how the little white and yellow flowers are all over this designer paper!!

And this Super WOW Fun Fold inside was an idea I saw from another demonstrator, Sue Campfield. Such a WOW, but so very easy to create! You score a 4" x 12" piece at 3", 4", 5", 6", 7", 8" and 9". What a great way to show off these fun papers, and use them up too!

I hope you enjoyed your stop by, and I can't wait to see what Vicki Boucher has in store for us!

See you soon,
